This week JCPR celebrated the end of 2011 in style at the Edelman Christmas party. With the location kept secret and the dress code being set as ‘Glamour’ the whole office was guessing where we were going up until the last minute! The festivities started at the Edel Beauty Parlor where the ladies (and some gents) were given glam makeovers by a team of professional beauticians. We were all treated to a range of lush treatments, including manicures, fake eyelashes (think TOWIE not my Transsexual Summer), hair styling and make-up!
At 6pm things officially kicked off and we all strutted to a champagne reception and our very own awards ceremony, the Edelman Honours. Huge congrats to JC’s resident ‘dahhhling’ Mary who won biggest breakthrough act. Also, just to add, whoever made those smoked salmon canapés, they were incredible, I ate three in five minutes. After the award winners were revealed we were all shipped off Coach Trip style to the secret location, which turned out to be the fabulous Circus in Covent Garden. If you haven’t been before, we’d highly recommend it! We were entertained throughout the night by spectacular acrobats, a feisty ringmaster and some impressive fire eating! Another highlight of the night was the Alpine photo area, where we were given a selection of David Bowie -Snowman/Sound of Music/Top Gun/Winter holiday esque props to take some festive family snaps (when I say some, I mean 300+). To finish this post I’d just to like to say a huge thanks to Ruth and Sharon for making it such an epic year at JCPR, from Thorpe Park to Sugar Hut to the day of food and promotions to the ugly jumper Christmas lunch, 2011 has been a ball!
