Since being axed off the X factor, the wannabe rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle of Frankie Cocozza has not gone a day without media attention: his dramatic exit even froze Twitter! But there was more bad news for Frankie this week, as the Daily Mirror advised Frankie to ‘start lying low’ after he was turned away from our own event, the launch of Kinect Disneyland adventures, last Wednesday.
Our refusal to grant him entry comes as no surprise as Frankie is not the most suitable guest to attend our family fun-filled afternoon at the Oxford St. Disney store. Frankie’s own recent ‘adventures’ (most notoriously the ‘cocaine-fueled sex sessions’ Daily Mail 09.11.11) are completely incongruous to Kinect’s invitation to step inside the magical adventure of Disneyland. Luckily for us, despite a ‘don’t you know who I am’ situation at the door, Frankie quickly moved onto some more unsuccessful gatecrashing, leaving the rest of the celeb families at the launch party to enjoy a wholesome afternoon of cookie decorating and magic tricks!
Amongst the more family-friendly celebs in attendance were funny man Jonny Vegas, the glam TOWIE stars Chloe Simms and Carol Wright, and actors Rupert Graves and Stephen Graham. The party was exceptionally well attended, to the point where we had to split it into two sessions in order for every kid to have their fair share of the fun. Whilst Mickey & Minnie were providing hugs and waves in abundance (enjoyed by our JCPR staff in pic below!) it was the game itself that proved to be the biggest hit of the night: it was hard to shift the queue of kids wanting to fly over London with Peter Pan or sword fight with Hook. What was commented upon as both lovely and unique about this event, was the fact that media and celebs alike had the chance to share the excitement with their children too. After the success of the evening, I’m sure they’ll be begging to attend all the upcoming events that their showbiz parents swan off to!
